Welcome to TEAM GOLF, the premier season-long competitive league for socially competitive golfers aged 25 and older. Active across Colorado, the Midwest, and the Rocky Mountains, our league is built on providing a high-level, structured environment where camaraderie and competition meet. We feature four distinct divisions to ensure every golfer has a home: Men, Women, Mixed, and Warrior & First Responders.

The Gold Standard of Fairness

We believe that a competitive league is only as good as its integrity. TEAM GOLF provides the most equitable environment in the sport through a proprietary dynamic handicap system. Unlike static handicaps that can be manipulated, our system is alive. It adjusts weekly based on performance and includes a robust Relegation and Elevation algorithm. If a team displays exceptional performance, their handicap is reduced immediately. This proactive approach eliminates “sandbagging” and ensures that every team in every flight has a genuine, fair opportunity to win.

To maintain this parity, we use a refined calculation specifically tuned for the Two-Person Best Shot format. We take your Gross Score minus the 9-Hole Rating, multiply that by 62.5, divide by the 9-Hole Slope, and finally multiply by 0.25. The result is rounded to the nearest whole number to establish your Flight Handicap.

The Journey to the Championship

The season is structured into four distinct phases designed to move teams from initial assessment to the winner’s circle. It begins with the Position Round, a critical seeding phase where teams play Scratch Best Shot to establish a baseline skill level. Once scores are finalized, we move into Flighting, where teams are grouped into competitive tiers within their division. This ensures you only compete directly against teams of similar ability for weekly payouts and standings.

The heart of the season is Pool Play, where teams compete weekly in a Net Best Shot format. To reward consistency and high-level play, we use your lowest four 9-hole Net Scores to determine final standings and points. The season culminates in the Regional Championship Playoffs, a high-stakes series consisting of two 18-hole rounds to crown the ultimate champions.

Team Identity and Substitutes

We encourage every team to establish a unique identity. TEAM GOLF provides a free custom logo for your squad to be used on leaderboards, media, and apparel. To ensure the schedule remains consistent, teams may register one substitute before the season begins. All substitutes must possess a valid, validated handicap index (WGH or similar) to maintain the competitive integrity of the flight.
